"O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, And we are the people of his pasture, And the sheep of his hand."
Psalm 95:6-7

Purpose and Mission

It is the task of the Worship Committee (in conjunction with the Pastors and music directors) to staff and supervise the worship ministries of our congregation. The Committee makes recommendations to the Session concerning times and places for worship, a schedule for the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, an plans for special services throughout the year.

Key Ministries and Initiatives
Communion

We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper on the 1st Sunday of each month during worship. Additionally, communion is served on Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve (11:00 PM).
Home Communion is offered twice each year (April & October). Elders and Deacons take the elements to senior and homebound members of our congregation.

Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism unites us with Jesus Christ and makes us members of God's family, the Church. The Worship Committee and the pastoral staff review all Baptism requests and recommend them for Session approval. We celebrate Baptisms on the 3rd Sunday of each month during worship.

Music Programs

Our church has a diverse music program; the worship committee has oversight for all musical groups. To read more about these programs, visit the Musical Groups page.

Weddings

The Worship Committee sets the wedding policy and provides preliminary approval for all wedding requests. The Session has final approval for all requests.

Calendar of Events

Our church has special services throughout the course of the year.
