Groups
Book Club is a monthly gathering for adults who like reading and like talking about what we read! Books are selected by the group and cover a wide range of topics. They aren’t always explicitly Christian books, but our conversations always include thoughts about how the book relates to our faith. Our reads have included Love That Boy by Ron Fournier and Quiet by Susan Cain. Our next book club meeting is September 23.
Men's Bible Study: Men's Bible Study meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. We are looking for new members, and willing to change the day and time to better meet the schedules of interested participants. If you'd like to join or learn more, reach out to Michael Lovaglio at michael@cranburypres.org.
Grief Group: Join Pastor Hannah in the church library from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of the month for an informal Grief Support Group. This group is for members and friends of the congregation whose grief is fresh and those whose grief is longstanding, and anyone in-between. Come and lay down your burdens, find comfort in good company, and be for one another the outstretched arms of Christ. Let Pastor Hannah know if you have any questions or would like to join the group at hannah@cranburypres.org.
Senior Exercise invites members of the church or residents of Cranbury age 55 and older to join us as we exercise via Zoom. Classes meet remotely on Monday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with an instructor. To participate in these classes however, two registration forms must be completed. If you would like to join, please contact the church office (phone 609 395-0897 or e-mail office@cranburypres.org) for more information.
The program begins with seated warm up movements and is followed by standing low impact aerobics which can be done seated. We then concentrate on seated strengthening exercises using hand weights, resistance tubing and small balls. Each session also incorporates balance training and we finish with stretches for the whole body. Classes are led by nationally certified instructors.
Although not required, laughter is encouraged.
Senior Fellowship Program
Senior Fellowship is a club open to all seniors in the area. We provide opportunities for seniors with social, recreational and educational experiences. Senior Fellowship meets during the day and the time varies depending on the activity.
We have a wonderful group and would like to have you join us and get to know other people in the community. There are no dues or charges for activities. We have one or two programs a month (except in July and August). Programs are usually held in Fellowship Hall, but include day trips too.
Our activities include speakers, movies, picnics, trips to gardens, concerts, museums, and various holiday parties. If you have any questions about our programs, please contact the church office at firstpresoffice@comcast.net.
